Thrift Shopping | Goodwill Edition

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love thrift shopping. Why you ask? It's because thrift shops are the best places to find one of a kind items that will make you stand out from the general population :)...

Thrift shopping can be either fun or overwhelming depending on who you are, so in this post I will give you a few tips on how I make thrift shopping fun and easy for myself and maybe for you too:

1. Always have a specific idea of what you need to buy in order to save you time, (for example when I went to Goodwill last night I knew that I needed high waist-ed pants/shorts so I went directly to the pants and shorts section which saved me so much time.)

2. Remember that if you find something that is a bit too big, you can always use the money that you saved by shopping at a thrift store to tailor that garment.

3.  We all know that thrift stores' clothing are a mixture of garments from different years and fashion eras so it's important to choose your clothes wisely, pick garments that are timeless, versatile and practical, especially if you are a fashionista on a budget. When it comes to prints be careful. Stick to prints that are always in vogue, such as animals prints;  or choose prints that are unique and trendy or something that you love and fit your style. If you are not into prints, monochromatic garments are always a good choice.

OOTD | Comfort Is Key

Today is just a quick post on what I wore yesterday to run some errands with my sister, it was a bit chilly and it rained on and off so I opted for something that would keep me warm and comfortable... This jumper that I am wearing is a new purchase and is my new love at the moment, it's so comfortable and thick enough to keep me warm.

I have been going crazy with the shopping lately, maybe it's because of the sales or maybe it's stress, whatever it is, it's been working in my favor, because I have been finding some amazing gems lately :) and these gorgeous bags are proof. I actually bought them at one of the discount stores (DD'S)  in my hometown and the best part is they were all under $100...

These bags are by a company called Alyssa U.S.A, all of their handbags are designer's inspired and from what I can see they are good quality too. Unfortunately the company doesn't have a website bummer :( but I did find a website that sells their handbags you can check out the link here. Hopefully you find something that you like :) HAPPY SHOPPING.

Stripes and Leopard | Happy Birthday Mommy

First of I would like to wish my mommy who I love so much a Happy Birthday, she is such an amazing woman, so supportive, beautiful, kindhearted and strong :) I am so lucky to be her daughter :) ♥♥♥

I hope you all are doing OK and that you guys are having a good year so far :) For me it's very hectic, I started Uni this week, I am doing my bachelors in Fashion Merchandising at the AI institutes and since my Uni is like two hours away and my classes start at 8 in the morning, I have to wake up at 4 in the am get ready and as soon as my classes are over at 12 pm I have to drive straight back home to go to my full time job and work 2 to 10 pm. Fun right?

... Anyway I wore this outfit to go shopping with my sister on New Year and was supposed to upload it the next day but I never got around to do it, shame on me :)... For this look I wanted to be comfortable yet fashionable, so I whipped out my awesome UO shirt that I have had for what seems like forever and paired it with this amazing  Princess Vera x Vera Wang skirt that I am so in love with and added the leopard flats for a bit of pattern mixing. And of course I had to go crazy with the jewelry haha :) what can I say? I am a jewelry junkie :)...

Happy New Year | The Jewelry Haul

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of you guys for making 2012 so pleasant for me. You may not know this but 2012 was an amazing year for me and you guys played a huge role in that. Every time you guys commented on my post this past year  was a blessing and I know I don't say this often enough but THANK YOU. Thank you for being so kind with all your encouraging words that inspire me everyday to be a better blogger :). THANK YOU FOR BEING THE MOST AMAZING READERS EVER AND I WISH YOU ALL A VERY VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR :)...

Have you guys been hitting the end-of-the-year sales lately? If you haven't, you absolutely need to... I went to Express and H&M this past week and boy did I hit the jackpot :) Express has that amazing sale where you can get 20% off already reduced item plus you can take up to 60% off everything in the store. And when it comes to H&M they have sales items starting from $3, what? what? lol :) So if you have been thinking about shopping but don't know where to start, places like H&M, Forever21, Urban Outfitters, Khol's, Express, just to name a few are great places to start, believe me I know:)...

I don't know why, but lately all I have been buying are purses and jewelries, hence that haul, and I have been getting amazing deals, you know how I love my bargain  :) that's why I am urging you guys to go hunt these deals before it's too late :)... Anyway I ended up getting these beautiful babies and they were all under $20, winning in my Charlie Sheen voice :)
