NORDSTROM Anniversary Sale July 19

It's that time of the year again the oh! so anticipated Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, are you ready? Because I sure as hell am :)... For some of you who may not know why this is important, let me give you the 411. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is when brand new fall merchandise comes to the store and are sold at discounted prices (usually between 30 even up to %60 off). These items usually include the newest trends as well as as designer exclusives, and after the sale they go back to full price. For this year the prices will go back to regular on August 5th.

The sale officially starts on July 19th, but if you are a Nordstrom Cardholder and a member of their 'Fashion Rewards Program' you do get the privilege of shopping the sale nine days early before everyone else ( from July 10-18) through Early Access. How cool is that? Plus by shopping Early Access you'll be able to double your points, awesome :) so instead of gaining 2 reward points per net dollar spent, you'll get 4...

Whether you decide to shop Early Access or wait till the official date, I do advise you take advantage of this awesome event, I mean who doesn't like a bargain right? Also don't forget to use the hashtag #NSALE to show your goodies or share the event on pinterest, twitter, facebook and instagram.

Wardrobe Staple | The Little Black Dress

Hello my Darlings,

I hope you are all doing well...

 Since I had so much fun doing my Wardrobe Staple | The Blazer post I decided to make this a regular thing. I decided to include this segment on my blog for all the fashionistas on a budget like myself or anyone who might need a bit of inspiration on how to style certain pieces in your closet. I hope you'll enjoy these posts :) just like I will.

This time I decided to pick the oh! so wonderful LBD which is indispensable for me. I prefer my LBD to be simple but not boring, it's all about the cut and the fit for me. I tend to stay away from bodycon LBD's because depending on where I want to wear it to, it might be a little bit too sexy. But a skater LBD like the one below is perfect, since it is not super short it is appropriate for any occasion. In addition, a skater dress flatters almost any figure. 

So if you're thinking about splurging on one, do it; just remember to pick one that is simple but not boring. It needs to be versatile enough so you can take it wherever you need to :)
