From Casual To Dressy

Oh! how I have missed blogging and you guys :(. Not blogging for these past few weeks have been a challenge but I needed to take a breather from the blogging world and focus on school...
Every now and then I have those days where I find myself rushing from places to places, with little or no time to change. Therefore, it's vital for me to be prepared. That is why I always try to carry in my car some of my staple pieces.
Today's outfit post is an example of one of those days where I barely had time to change between places. The first look is super casual and I wore it to go to school, and the second one which was super chic, I wore  to go to a last minute, but amazing fashion event...

Preppy Chic with Pink and Pepper

posted on: 1.7.13

 Hello my lovely blogger friends!
Happy 1st day of July :)

Quick snaps of what I wore to go to church and celebrate Father's Day a few weeks ago... For this look I took inspiration from the uniform I used to wear during my private school days when I was younger, I decided to add my own twist to it and make it a bit more chic and glam...

I hope you guys like the look :)
Have a good day.

Ready For Spring

posted on: 14.4.13

Coucou mes amours,
I hope that y'all are having a good Sunday :)

Today I wanted to share with you a quick post on what I wore yesterday to go to a shopping and lunch date with my lovely little sister. The weather was so awful but I had fun...  I wanted to feel super girly so I wore this beautiful mint peplum top and these amazing floral pants that I bought at Kohl's in January. It was seriously one of the greatest buys ever.

Now onto my favorite piece (s) of this outfit, yes my shoes :) I bought them on Friday at Jcpenney and I couldn't be happier. They are one of the amazing pieces from the collaboration between Cosmopolitan magazine and Jcpenney, and they are fabulous :). They are a must have...

OOTD | The Black Dress

posted on: 31.3.13

Hello My dolls,
I hope y'all are having a good Sunday and Happy Easter (for those of you who celebrate it :).

Let's talk about my dress, shall we? I bought this dress in the beginning of March, you can say that it was love at first try :) it's a simple black dress really but the asymmetry on the back gives it a bit of a dramatic effect. It's like a blank canvas and with the right accessories the possibilities are endless. I decided to accessorize the dress with mostly gold jewelry, and added the coral shoes and necklace for a pop of color while letting the dress be the focal point...

I hope you guys like the outfit and have a wonderful day :)

The Vintage Blazer

posted on: 19.2.13

Coucou,
I hope y'all are doing O.K. it has been a while since I blogged and I missed it and I have missed you guys too... While I do love blogging,  I only do it when  I can and when I want to because I do not want it to become a chore otherwise I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I do now...

My outfit is pretty simple, I wanted to be comfortable yet chic and edgy in a semi casual sort of way if you know what I mean :). I wore this outfit to go out with mommy and sis... It was a bit chilly so I opted for these pleather pants and this amazing vintage burgundy blazer that I found at Goodwill...

This blazer is a new purchase and ever since I bought it I have been waiting for the perfect time to wear it and when I finally did I wanted it to be the focal point of the outfit so that's why I wore this all black ensemble with a Calvin Klein snakeskin beige belt for texture and an Anne Klein black and beige purse to accentuate the outfit.

OOTD | Comfort Is Key

Coucou,
Today is just a quick post on what I wore yesterday to run some errands with my sister, it was a bit chilly and it rained on and off so I opted for something that would keep me warm and comfortable... This jumper that I am wearing is a new purchase and is my new love at the moment, it's so comfortable and thick enough to keep me warm.

I hope you guys are enjoying your week and also I will like to welcome my new wonderful readers :) to the blog and thank you to everyone who has been with me since the beginning, it means the world to me.

Have a good day.

Stripes and Leopard | Happy Birthday Mommy

posted on: 11.1.13

Coucou,

First of I would like to wish my mommy who I love so much a Happy Birthday, she is such an amazing woman, so supportive, beautiful, kindhearted and strong :) I am so lucky to be her daughter :) ♥♥♥

I hope you all are doing OK and that you guys are having a good year so far :) For me it's very hectic, I started Uni this week, I am doing my bachelors in Fashion Merchandising at the AI institutes and since my Uni is like two hours away and my classes start at 8 in the morning, I have to wake up at 4 in the am get ready and as soon as my classes are over at 12 pm I have to drive straight back home to go to my full time job and work 2 to 10 pm. Fun right?

... Anyway I wore this outfit to go shopping with my sister on New Year and was supposed to upload it the next day but I never got around to do it, shame on me :)... For this look I wanted to be comfortable yet fashionable, so I whipped out my awesome UO shirt that I have had for what seems like forever and paired it with this amazing  Princess Vera x Vera Wang skirt that I am so in love with and added the leopard flats for a bit of pattern mixing. And of course I had to go crazy with the jewelry haha :) what can I say? I am a jewelry junkie :)...

Have an amazing Weekend :)

The Christmas Look

posted on: 26.12.12

Coucou,
Merry belated Christmas :) I hope you guys had a good Christmas yesterday... I know I did, I was fortunate enough to have a merry, merry Christmas...  It was nice to be with my family and open those gifts, hahaha :)

I feel like I always wear a dress for Christmas so this year I wanted to wear something different and still look my best, that's why I opted for this look. The jacket is very chic and the top super feminine so I decided to wear my MC Hammer pants which added a little bit of texture and edge to a super feminine look.

Have A Good Week.

Pretty In Pleats

posted on: 18.12.12

Bonjour,

I am so excited to come with a part two to my "Broke But Stylish" segment of my blog and this time I chose to share with you a very fun and girly look... I bought this dress at ROSS a couple of weeks ago and I am so in love with it because of its silhouette; it's one of those dresses that flatters almost every body type and since it's so simple it can be dressed up or down, which is perfect for a girl on a budget...

For this look, I wanted the dress to be the center of attention and chose accessories that would complement it instead of overpowering it. That's why I paired it with this beautiful bag with the same color scheme as the dress and a statement necklace with the same color details. I added the animal printed  pumps to complete the look and to give it a little bit of texture.

I hope you guys like this look and don't forget : "It's never about what you wear, it's how you wear it."

That Banana Republic Coat

posted on: 9.12.12

I am loving my coat, it's absolutely lovely and it's so lightweight which is perfect since I live in Florida. I love the simplicity of it and the color is just amazing; it is so classy. I actually got it sometimes last year and I remember looking everywhere for a coat like this and when I found this beauty it had to be mine...

A bientôt.

Broke But Stylish | A Rebel's Diary

posted on: 14.11.12

One of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I am rich, um, no. Over the years, especially when I was going to college, many people would ask me if I were rich? And when I would ask them why, they would tell me that it's because of how I dress, and I remember the look on their faces when I would tell them that the particular item that they loved so much only cost me two dollars at the thrift store...

A true fashionista will look her best whether she is wearing Prada or Nada, because style has nothing to do with how much money you have, and that is a fact. How do I know that? I know that because I do it on a daily basis and I have been doing it for years. And now I will show you how I do it through this new segment that I have decided to incorporate on my blog called: Broke But Stylish.

So to kickoff our brand new segment I put together this very feminine yet edgy look and it was all under $100, amazing right?

With the presidential election coming up and everyone going crazy, my brother and I decided to go vote today with the hopes that the line would be shorter; Uhm no that did not happen, we waited and waited, and waited. And after two and half hours of waiting we finally got to vote, yay :) What about you guys? Are you going to vote? If you are still undecided, I think you should go and vote, and it doesn't matter who you support. What matters is that you make your voice heard by voting :) just saying...

Have a good weekend and stay fabulous my wonderful readers :)

The Skater Dress

posted on: 4.10.12

When I first saw that dress my heart stopped, like literally, not only is it in black,  it's feminine yet edgy, and that snakeskin like print is absolutely gorgeous... And at $16.99 the dress was a total steal...

I absolutely love skater dresses, also the fact that they flatter almost all body shapes don't hurt either, they create that illusion of curves. What I love about this one in particular is it's so versatile that it can be worn with almost everything...

P.S I wore this to church las sunday :)

Hi-Lo And The T400 Beauty

posted on: 20.9.12

Bonjour,
Today is just a quick post on what I wore last Sunday to go to dinner with some of my girlfriends. I decided to wear this dress because it is super girly and because of the cool distorted chevron pattern. (I decided to ditch my 24" of extensions because the humidity is killing me). Ever since I bought that dress some few months, I have been obsessed with it. It has become a staple piece in my wardrobe.

And also I would love  to present you with this beautiful necklace that the amazing team from AliExpress by Alibaba has gifted me. I was already familiar with the company from friends and fellow jewelry makers like myself so when they reached out to me about a few weeks ago, I was super excited to style one of their pieces. The company offers a variety of fashion jewelry products and what I like about the company is the fact that their pieces are super affordable, which is perfect for a fashionista on a budget like myself. This beautiful necklace was only $27.50 and if you love it like I absolutely do you can buy it here.
Happy Shopping
