School's Out

Coucou mes amours,

Today is a quick post on  what I wore to school yesterday for my last two finals (which I aced) for the quarter, it is a super casual and comfy outfit. I don't usually go to school all glammed up; when it comes to school my go to pieces are jackets, flats, a nice simple dress and a good ol pair of jeans...

 I am currently attending Ai Miami International University of Art and Design where  I am pursuing a bachelors degree in fashion merchandising and yesterday was not only the last day of the quarter for me, but it was also graduation day for some seniors at my school and I want to say congratulations to every single one of them especially to the sweetest blogger ever Daniela Ramirez, and good luck on this new chapter of their lives... Can't wait till I graduate :) (Also congrats to everyone else who has graduated during these past few weeks or who will be graduating soon, YOU DID IT :)

The Worthington Skirt

Coucou mes amours,

I wore this on Sunday to go to church, I wanted to wear something more exciting than a dress, so I opted for this awesome printed baby pink Worthington skirt and this Liz Claiborne jumper that I purchased from JcPenney. Speaking of JcPenney, the one that I always go to is closing down May 1st, I am so mad and sad because that is my mommy's favorite store to shop at, and that's where we go when we want to do some mommy and daughter bonding :(. So if anyone reading this know how I can personally get in contact with JcPenney's board of directors, please let me know...

Now back to the outfit, at the exception of my purse, my necklace and my stockings everything that I am wearing is from JcPenney. Now you understand  why I am so sad :( I really wanted the skirt to be the focal point of the outfit that's why I wore black the perfect neutral color that really let the skirt stand out on it's on, I chose to carry that beautiful green bag for a bit of color play since it's spring and all :)

Ready For Spring

Today I wanted to share with you a quick post on what I wore yesterday to go to a shopping and lunch date with my lovely little sister. The weather was so awful but I had fun...  I wanted to feel super girly so I wore this beautiful mint peplum top and these amazing floral pants that I bought at Kohl's in January. It was seriously one of the greatest buys ever.

Now onto my favorite piece (s) of this outfit, yes my shoes :) I bought them on Friday at Jcpenney and I couldn't be happier. They are one of the amazing pieces from the collaboration between Cosmopolitan magazine and Jcpenney, and they are fabulous :). They are a must have...

Let's talk about my dress, shall we? I bought this dress in the beginning of March, you can say that it was love at first try :) it's a simple black dress really but the asymmetry on the back gives it a bit of a dramatic effect. It's like a blank canvas and with the right accessories the possibilities are endless. I decided to accessorize the dress with mostly gold jewelry, and added the coral shoes and necklace for a pop of color while letting the dress be the focal point...

The Vintage Blazer

I hope y'all are doing O.K. it has been a while since I blogged and I missed it and I have missed you guys too... While I do love blogging,  I only do it when  I can and when I want to because I do not want it to become a chore otherwise I won't be able to enjoy it as much as I do now...

My outfit is pretty simple, I wanted to be comfortable yet chic and edgy in a semi casual sort of way if you know what I mean :). I wore this outfit to go out with mommy and sis... It was a bit chilly so I opted for these pleather pants and this amazing vintage burgundy blazer that I found at Goodwill...

This blazer is a new purchase and ever since I bought it I have been waiting for the perfect time to wear it and when I finally did I wanted it to be the focal point of the outfit so that's why I wore this all black ensemble with a Calvin Klein snakeskin beige belt for texture and an Anne Klein black and beige purse to accentuate the outfit.

I have been going crazy with the shopping lately, maybe it's because of the sales or maybe it's stress, whatever it is, it's been working in my favor, because I have been finding some amazing gems lately :) and these gorgeous bags are proof. I actually bought them at one of the discount stores (DD'S)  in my hometown and the best part is they were all under $100...

These bags are by a company called Alyssa U.S.A, all of their handbags are designer's inspired and from what I can see they are good quality too. Unfortunately the company doesn't have a website bummer :( but I did find a website that sells their handbags you can check out the link here. Hopefully you find something that you like :) HAPPY SHOPPING.

First of I would like to wish my mommy who I love so much a Happy Birthday, she is such an amazing woman, so supportive, beautiful, kindhearted and strong :) I am so lucky to be her daughter :) ♥♥♥

I hope you all are doing OK and that you guys are having a good year so far :) For me it's very hectic, I started Uni this week, I am doing my bachelors in Fashion Merchandising at the AI institutes and since my Uni is like two hours away and my classes start at 8 in the morning, I have to wake up at 4 in the am get ready and as soon as my classes are over at 12 pm I have to drive straight back home to go to my full time job and work 2 to 10 pm. Fun right?

... Anyway I wore this outfit to go shopping with my sister on New Year and was supposed to upload it the next day but I never got around to do it, shame on me :)... For this look I wanted to be comfortable yet fashionable, so I whipped out my awesome UO shirt that I have had for what seems like forever and paired it with this amazing  Princess Vera x Vera Wang skirt that I am so in love with and added the leopard flats for a bit of pattern mixing. And of course I had to go crazy with the jewelry haha :) what can I say? I am a jewelry junkie :)...

First of all, I would like to say thank you to all of you guys for making 2012 so pleasant for me. You may not know this but 2012 was an amazing year for me and you guys played a huge role in that. Every time you guys commented on my post this past year  was a blessing and I know I don't say this often enough but THANK YOU. Have you guys been hitting the end-of-the-year sales lately? If you haven't, you absolutely need to... I went to Express and H&M this past week and boy did I hit the jackpot :) Express has that amazing sale where you can get 20% off already reduced item plus you can take up to 60% off everything in the store. And when it comes to H&M they have sales items starting from $3, what? what? lol :) So if you have been thinking about shopping but don't know where to start, places like H&M, Forever21, Urban Outfitters, Khol's, Express, just to name a few are great places to start, believe me I know:)...

I don't know why, but lately all I have been buying are purses and jewelries, hence that haul, and I have been getting amazing deals, you know how I love my bargain  :) that's why I am urging you guys to go hunt these deals before it's too late :)... Anyway I ended up getting these beautiful babies and they were all under $20, winning in my Charlie Sheen voice :)

I bought this dress at ROSS a couple of weeks ago and I am so in love with it because of its silhouette; it's one of those dresses that flatters almost every body type and since it's so simple it can be dressed up or down, which is perfect for a girl on a budget...

For this look, I wanted the dress to be the center of attention and chose accessories that would complement it instead of overpowering it. That's why I paired it with this beautiful bag with the same color scheme as the dress and a statement necklace with the same color details. I added the animal printed  pumps to complete the look and to give it a little bit of texture.

One of the biggest misconceptions about me is that I am rich, um, no. Over the years, especially when I was going to college, many people would ask me if I were rich? The Perfect Pair x Nine West

Have you ever been searching for something and when you finally found it, you just felt like the happiest person in the the world? Yes, maybe? I know I did when I found these babies. Aren't they gorge? I first saw these at the mall and when I went back for them they were gone :(, so I made it my mission to find them; they were quite expensive, almost one hundred and something but I didn't care. However a couple weeks ago I found them at ROSS and they were only $25.99 and the best thing is I was able to get them at an extra 40% off, SCORE, so I ended up paying just $16 and change for them, that's what I call a bargain :)

What I love about them besides that they are animal print is that they are so classy. They are the perfect way to add a little bit of pizazz to any outfit and they are so versatile, which means that you can wear them with everything in your closet: skinnies, dresses, shorts, midi, skater skirts and even your maxi skirt. I have recently wore them with my fake leather skater skirt and shorts and I loved how the outfits turned out. Can't wait to share the pics with you guys :)

Just a few snapshots from my trip to South Beach, I wish I had more pictures to share with you guys; unfortunately the weather did not allow me to. Since it was raining on and off I was afraid to carry my camera with me (bummer). Nevertheless I had tons of fun and drank a sh$%t load of Margaritas :). We stayed on Collins Avenue so we were really close to some of my favorite shops like Urban outfitters, Armani, Express, just to name a few. What was really cool was that everything was within a walking distance, which was perfect, got a lot of exercise :)... Can't wait for my next vaca, the boy and I are thinking about going to Key West, and then Orlando... What about you guys? Are you going on a vaca anytime soon? If so, where?
