From Casual To Dressy

posted on: 18.8.13

Oh! how I have missed blogging and you guys :(. Not blogging for these past few weeks have been a challenge but I needed to take a breather from the blogging world and focus on school...
Every now and then I have those days where I find myself rushing from places to places, with little or no time to change. Therefore, it's vital for me to be prepared. That is why I always try to carry in my car some of my staple pieces.
Today's outfit post is an example of one of those days where I barely had time to change between places. The first look is super casual and I wore it to go to school, and the second one which was super chic, I wore  to go to a last minute, but amazing fashion event...

Wardrobe Staple | The Blazer

posted on: 20.6.13

I love blazers and over the years they have become a staple piece in my closet. They are my go-to pieces whenever I have no idea what to wear. I love how versatile they can be and how easy they are to style. They can be worn with dresses, skirts, jeans etc... I do have quite a few of them,  but  my favorite one to wear is this vintage Dorothy Perkins blazer that I bought at a thrift store; and I wear it a bit too much. The reason is  that it goes with almost everything in my closet, because it is a solid color, and because the cut is simple enough that it gives me that versatility where I can take it to church, school, work etc... So if you are thinking about investing in a blazer, especially if you are on a budget and/or buying your first one, it's important that you stick either to a  neutral  or solid colored one.

The cut is also an important factor, if you want to buy a blazer that is versatile enough that you can wear to go to different places; choose a cut that is simple, but  is interesting enough to jazz up your outfit. And do not forget  we all have different body types, so before you splurge on one, make sure you try on different ones to see which one fits you the best...

I hope this post has helped you and let me know if I have forgotten to include something.
Below is a few ideas on how to style one blazer in different ways, let me know how you style yours in the comment box below :)

White Tee and Printed Pants

posted on: 18.6.13

Coucou mes amours,

I sported this outfit to go meet up with some friends a few weeks ago; it's pretty simple and girly. I coordinated the whole look  around my pants, and chose accessories that complemented it. The white tee was the perfect neutral color to bring the whole look together :)... (See how I previously styled the pants here.)

I hope you guys like the look.

School's Out

posted on: 13.6.13

Coucou mes amours,

Today is a quick post on  what I wore to school yesterday for my last two finals (which I aced) for the quarter, it is a super casual and comfy outfit. I don't usually go to school all glammed up; when it comes to school my go to pieces are jackets, flats, a nice simple dress and a good ol pair of jeans...

I am currently attending Ai Miami International University of Art and Design where  I am pursuing a bachelors degree in fashion merchandising and yesterday was not only the last day of the quarter for me, but it was also graduation day for some seniors at my school and I want to say congratulations to every single one of them especially to the sweetest blogger ever Daniela Ramirez, and good luck on this new chapter of their lives... Can't wait till I graduate :) (Also congrats to everyone else who has graduated during these past few weeks or who will be graduating soon, YOU DID IT :)

Have a good day,
Bisoux...

The Tuxedo Pants

posted on: 1.6.13

Coucou,
Today I wanted to share with you what I wore to the Macy's American Icon  fashion show that I had the privilege to attend a few weeks ago. It was a long day but it was so worth it not only because I got to help backstage in styling and dressing the models :) but more importantly because I got the opportunity to be part of something so special. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera so I don't have any pictures to share with you :( .But I do have some pictures on instagram, so  feel free to take a look at them...
I wanted to wear something practical yet stylish so I decided to whip out my awesome tuxedo pants that I got at JcPenney that I have been wearing too much; what can I say they are super comfy and they fit so well.

Hope you guys like the look and don't forget to visit my store.

Repost | The Little Black Dress

(I accidentally deleted the original post, which made me so mad so I decided to repost it. And thank you for everyone who commented on the original one.)
Coucou mes amours,

Today is just a quick post on what I wore yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day and go to church. The dress I am wearing as well as the shoes were bought on the same day and I couldn't be happier to have them in my closet...  This little black dress that I am wearing is perfect because it is super chic and feminine; it's not super sexy which makes it more versatile. You can wear it to school, church (like I did), and even to work just add a great blazer.

A little black dress is the perfect piece to have in your closet, and the simpler it is the more options you have in styling and accessorizing it. For my look I decided to accessorizing mine with gold hardware and carried mu animal print purse to jazz up the look a bit. I only wore the blazer while I was in church and I thought it was the perfect neutral color to bring the look together :)

Have a good Day'

If You're Thinking About... All White

posted on: 19.5.13

(All images were found on google images)
There is something so classy about the All White trend, it's understated elegance at it's best. It's modern, sophisticated and is the perfect way to make a bold statement... I am not usually one to be obsessed with every single trend but this one I am in love with maybe it's because white is one of my favorite colors or maybe it's because of the purity of it and how clean and bold an all white ensemble is. Either way this trend has definitely won me over and I cannot wait to try it myself. About you guys do you love or hate it? Let me know.

Check out these items below and see if you'd like to try the trend yourself :)

OOTD | Denim and Polka Dots

Coucou mes amours,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING MOTHERS AROUND THE WORLD....

There is nothing more casual than a denim top and that's why it has become a staple piece in my closet. Denim tops are easy to style and super versatile as well, you can take them to school, to church, to the grocery store or the beach, that's why I think that every woman should invest in buying one.

For this look I chose to pair my denim top with this beautiful chiffon like skirt to create the perfect texture. I love pairing denim tops with more soft and girly pieces when I want to dress them up since they are so casual and all.... In case you are wondering I did wear this to go to church but I would wear it to go on a date or to go to brunch with girlfriends, and for school I would just ditch the heels for some flats and carry a bigger bag :) lol.

I hope you like the look and have a good night.

Vintage With A Touch Of Michael Kors | Happy Birthday To Me

posted on: 5.5.13

Coucou mes amours,

Happy Birthday to me :) haha yep it's my birthday and gosh I am getting old, nevertheless I am so grateful that God has allowed me to see another year...

This is what I wore today to go to church (I know another church outfit :), the suit is vintage and only cost me nine dollars, amazing right? I bought it last week and I couldn't wait to wear it... It reminds me a bit of  old school Chanel. I am not one to wear green at all but the color is what first attracted me to the suit, and also I fell in love with the gold details in the buttons. I feel like it adds so much class and elegance to the garment.

I chose to pair the suit with my Michael Kors bag and this simple beige button down top from Forever21 to allow the suit to stand out, to finish off the look I added a touch of print with my Nine West heels.

I hope you like the look and happy Sunday.
